Mardi Gras Nocona Style!

Saturday, February 22, 2020, 8:00 AM until 5:00 PM

Mardi Gras comes to Nocona each February as the community puts its own spin on this New Orleans-style family-friendly event. That's why we call it Mardi Gras Nocona Style! The best is saved for last, as the big Mardi Gras Parade takes over downtown, full of creative and authentic Mardi Gras floats with a Nocona flair. The fun continues with Cajun food, music and dancing. You will not want to miss this popular event!

Volunteers Needed
10th Annual Spring Lone Star Nationals
(F) March 13th - (Sa) March 14th - (Su) March 15th

The Lone Star Corvette Club has once again been asked by the GoodGuys Rod & Custom Association to be the Host Club for their Spring Lone Star Nationals. It’s being held at the Texas Motor Speedway on Friday, March 13th through Sunday, March 15

As the Host Club, we provide volunteers to assist with all three days of the event. We need volunteers to help park cars in designated areas on Saturday and Sunday and to assist with the awards ceremony on Sunday. In addition, we will be assisting with verifying participant tickets (Stubbing) at the entrance to the South Tunnel at TMS for all three days of the event.

If you have never done GoodGuys before, PLEASE consider signing up now. If you’ve done the event before, consider signing up for more than one shift. You’re welcome to sign up your friends and family as well. You will have a great time and get to see some fantastic cars.

In return for the Club’s volunteer effort, GoodGuys makes a substantial donation to LSCC that helps fund Club activities. In addition to free admission and parking for ALL THREE DAYS of the event ($54 value), volunteers receive the following:

1.      On Saturday, March 14th, FREE entry ($45 value) into the "Mighty Muscle Show". Your car must be a '87 or earlier domestic and you will need GoodGuys membership ($35) to enter.

2.      On Sunday, March 15th, FREE Entry to the “Super Sunday Get-Together” ($30 value) that allows all LSCC members' domestic vehicles (regardless of year) to come into the show and be judged for special awards.

3.      Preferred parking area at the event for LSCC volunteers' cars, along with early entrance to the event.

4.      GoodGuys special event T-shirts with Club logo for all LSCC members who participate.

5.      Host Club picture in the “Goodtimes Gazette” publication.

New Members

The role of the Navigator is to welcome new members, inform, educate them about Club activities that are available, and make sure they meet all of the respective coordinators.  The Navigator would ensure that new members understand how to access and use the LSCC website.  The Navigator should encourage new members to have fun attending meetings, participating in events and making good friends.
