About the Lone Star Corvette Club

Good Friends Great Cars

Just bought a new Corvette, or just love them?  You have come to the right place!  The Lone Star Corvette Club is dedicated to the Corvette lifestyle and the people that own them.  Our Club slogan says it all:

Good Friends.…Great Cars!

Founded in 1982, Lone Star Corvette Club now has over 1,000 members – each with his/her own story to tell of how they found that perfect “Vette.”  Based in the Dallas – Fort Worth Metroplex, Lone Star Corvette Club offers just about any activity an owner of “America’s Sports Car” could want: Road Trips, Day Trips, Open Road Racing, Drag Racing, Autocross, NCRS (National Corvette Restorers Society), Car Shows, Displays and Parades, the Lone Star Corvette Classic, Club Meetings, and most of all, fun times with good friends.

Road TripsLone Star Corvette Club takes at least one significant road trip each year, usually in conjunction with a Corvette event.  To get an even better feel about what the Lone Star Corvette Club is all about, click on the “Newsletter” button and read the latest issue of our award winning online newsletter.

Eureka Springs Corvette Weekend

October 1-4, 2020

Calling all LSCC Club members to join us for our annual trek to the idyllic setting of Eureka Springs, Arksanas for numerous fun events, local sites to explore including wonderful eateries and shopping and gorgeous scenic drives nearby.

However, the Corvette show has been cancelled. There is still the possibility of driving to Eureka Springs as a club. More information will be coming from the coordinator, Frank Myers, email:

Show Cancelled:
Oh ya, and there’s a wonderful Corvette show to attend as well…located in a quaint shopping center.

Who knows we may win the Club participation award again but that’ll take loads of y’all to sign up for this great trip as the Tulsa Corvette clubs typically come out in droves.  Here is what I need you to do as a LSCC member.  Go the LSCC web page and sign-in as a member, then go to the LSCC calendar and register there for this October event.  You will see all the hotel information there; I will be emailing everyone later about further trip details.  You will register separately for the Eureka Springs Corvette Weekend on this website: but please mention you’re part of the Lone Star Corvette Club (LSCC) when you register.

Out of all the event LSCC attends, this one is probably the most unique.  Unique in the sense, seven Corvette Clubs come together and club members put on the four-day event.  Here is a list of the clubs and the events they provide 1) Central Arkansas Corvette Club (Rides for Kids); (2) Kansas City Corvette Assoc. (Show & Blindman Autocross); (3) Lone Star Corvette Club (Poker Run); (4) Northwest Arkansas  Corvette Club (Parade of Champions);  (5)Tulsa Vette Set (Fuel Economy Run); (6) Air Capital Corvette Club (Nursing Home Private Show); and (7) Razorback Corvette Club (Registration).

Our Club has taken responsibility for the poker run at this event for yearrrs.  Our Club members volunteer to run the event once we get there, but we have a coordinator for the poker run who  works with local folks to choose the poker run route, coordinate the minimal supplies needed (like decks of cards), order the awards and get them distributed to the winners once the poker run is over.  Please consider volunteering for this critical role.  It is a key way to give back to both Lone Star Corvette Club and the Eureka Springs Corvette Weekend event!!

We’ll leave in two groups. One on Wednesday, Sept. 30th and one on Thursday, October 1st.

If this will be first time for you, there are lot of things to check out in the well preserved town of Eureka Springs set in the Ozark Mountains of northwest Arkansas.  A trolley is available from most hotels to take you off for wonderful day of shopping and investigating all the historical gems of this idyllic town.  A short drive out of town will take you to Thorncrown Chapel or the suspended bridge or War Eagle Grist Mill.

If shopping and eating is not your thing, then let’s check out the fuel economy run.  The fuel economy run is on Saturday morning navigates about 80 miles of scenic country roads; you compete with others in your class for the best fuel economy.  You say you do not want to compete.  No problem, follow the route instructions and enjoy the sights, sounds and the smells of the countryside.  So sign up today! 30th Annual Eureka Springs Corvette Weekend - 10/1/2020

LSCC has been asked once again to work the Mecum Auction at the Kay Bailey Hutchinson Convention Center.  If you enjoy looking at and driving classic cars, this is the event for you!  Ask anyone who has worked any of the previous Mecum events and you will be sure to hear what a "BLAST" it was - especially if they got the chance to drive a car across the block while the auction was being broadcast on the NBCSN channel.  Mecum pays the club for each car it moves at the auction.  This event is a major fund raiser for our club.

LSCC Welcomes New Members

New Members

The role of the Navigator is to welcome new members, inform, educate them about Club activities that are available, and make sure they meet all of the respective coordinators.  The Navigator would ensure that new members understand how to access and use the LSCC website.  The Navigator should encourage new members to have fun attending meetings, participating in events and making good friends.
