The Club has once again been offered the opportunity by The GoodGuys Rod & Custom Association to be the Host Club at their 9th Annual Lone Star Nationals to be held at the Texas Motor Speedway on Friday, March 8th, through Sunday, March 10th, 2019.
As the Host Club, we provide volunteers to assist with the event. As we have done in the past, we need volunteers to help park participants' cars in designated areas for judging on Saturday and the Winners' display on Sunday. In addition, we have volunteer opportunities on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday verifying participants' tickets (Stubbing) at the entrance to the South Tunnel at TMS. You are welcome to sign up friends and family members in addition to yourself. Multiple shifts are encouraged.
Details of all volunteer opportunities are provided above.
The GoodGuys Rod & Custom Association makes a substantial donation to LSCC that helps fund Club activities. In addition to free admission and parking for ALL THREE DAYS of the event ($20 value), volunteers receive the following:
- On Saturday, FREE entry into the "Mighty Muscle Show" (If your car is a '55-'87) for LSCC volunteers ($45 value). GoodGuys membership ($35) is needed for the entry to be put into the computer systems. Since the cut-off year for the event is 1987 on Friday and Saturday, the vehicles would need to fit the cut-off year for the event.
- On Sunday, FREE entry to the All American Sunday Get-Together ($30 value) that allows all LSCC members' vehicles to come into the show and be judged with no model year restriction.
- Preferred parking area at event for LSCC volunteers' cars and early entrance in to the event.
- GoodGuys will provide special event T-shirts for LSCC members who participate and work at the event.
- Host Club picture in the “Goodtimes Gazette” publication.
